I always remember my mom saying one of her favorite photos of me as a baby is one where you can only see my face and her hand in the frame, but I'm making eye contact with her.  Even though you can't see her face, it's still powerful to her because it represents our connection even as a baby.  It's this type of lasting photo I aim to create in each of my family sessions, to capture the fleeting moments each age holds. Enjoy some sweet moments with the Martland Family and new baby John.  Congrats you guys on your adorable kiddo! 

As you might have been able to tell, I am totally obsessed with greenhouses lately. Maybe it's because I come from a long line of super awesome gardeners (like, they just look at the plant and it grows beautifully), but I've been trying to be better about taking care of my plant babies. My bedroom is slowly starting to look like a jungle after bringing in my plants for the winter, and I even bought a lemon tree... eek! I'm hoping that by sheer will (maybe singing to it? Do lemons like motown??), I will keep it alive long enough to get some lemons out of it because you better believe I'll be making some citrusy cocktail goodness! Maybe I'll even get around to blogging it... oh new years goals. Anyway, here are some portraits from this weekend's adventures, taken at the Wellesley Greenhouse! As I've learned, a friend who will hop in any sort of tree to get the perfect image is one you should keep for life, and photograph them whenever they let you!

It's officially summer!! In between enjoying all the best warm weather activities, it's the perfect time to book a fun family session. Let's go somewhere fun and let your kids be kids! My favorite part about family sessions are getting to have a little fun with the little ones.  These two became explorers as we wandered through the woods looking for pinecones and chipmunks!
