Hey there! A little about me:
Q: Do you travel?
A: Yes please! I'm based in Boston, but I'll pretty much go anywhere and will offer discounted travel fees for all types of sessions to my wish list (YES THAT'S YOU TOO FAMILIES!), especially if I get multiple bookings in one trip:
- US national parks -Charleston, SC - Banff
-Scotland - Azores - NZ
Q: Do you do elopements?
A: I sure do! Anywhere and everywhere!
Q: I see you have a lot of unposed moments in your wedding galleries, and I love those! Will you also be taking more posed formal pictures at our wedding?
A: Of course! I love to snag those natural moments, and choose to highlight them on this platform because they are the most emotional, but also know the posed more classic images are important too! We will work together to build in time for both in your wedding day timeline.
Q: How would you describe your style of photography?
A: A mix between fine art and documentary. Each wedding, couple, and family have different moments, different light, and levels of confidence. Regardless of all of that, I'm always looking for the moment, but also figuring out the best way to capture it artfully.
Q: Do you offer albums?
A: You betcha! I've got a couple of different styles that we can pour over and find the best fit for you, whether you're choosing it as part of your wedding day or after your wedding day or family session.
Q: How did you get into photography?
A: My dad! He taught me how to use my first film camera- one I still bring to shoots and weddings today! I learned how to develop my film/prints in a classroom, but learned how to be a more emotional photographer from him.
Q: I'm worried that my kids are not going to sit still during family photos. How do you make sure you get good pictures?
A: I want you to be able to look back at your photos years to come and say "remember when he always made that face?", and for your images to not just look pretty, but make you remember how the best parts of how parenthood feels. I usually end up getting the best pictures of your children when we let them be kids! I usually spend some time when we first meet getting to know your kiddos and letting get comfortable with me. We will also chat about choosing a location/activity to do together that will bring out your favorite parts of your children's personalities.
Q: What if my children have big giant meltdowns when we're taking photos?
A: My natural patience and skills I learned while teaching a behavioral special education classroom means I am not ruffled one bit by a meltdown... I've seen EVERYTHING. I also know you know your kiddos and are the best person to handle it, but I'll be waiting and ready with my camera for the snuggles after.
Q: We want to book you! What happens next?
A: Woo hoo! Fill out the contact form or email me directly, I'll make a contract, invoice you electronically for the deposit and I'm all yours!
